Passion, family, and the soul of Lapio.
Colli di Lapio is the story of a family and their unconditional love for a generous land.
A tale woven from daily gestures, unwavering dedication, and oenological vision in the heart of Irpinia.
Clelia
Clelia Romano and the origins of the estate
Clelia is the central figure who forged the identity of Colli di Lapio, shaping an estate renowned for meticulous vineyard care, respect for nature’s pace, and a clear-sighted philosophy: great wine is born first and foremost in the vineyard. Through her rigorous craftsmanship and vision, she gave Fiano di Lapio an unmistakable signature—creating authentic, elegant, and terroir-driven wines capable of evolving over time to express rich aromatics, vibrant acidity, freshness, structure, and longevity. For Clelia, winemaking means safeguarding the land, observing its natural rhythm, and reflecting the true soul of the Lapio terroir in every bottle.
Carmela
Managing Director
Representing the third generation of Colli di Lapio, Carmela grew up within the family estate, upholding the heritage and values passed down by previous generations. Embedded at the heart of the winery’s operations, she oversees the daily life of the estate and personally takes charge of the winemaking processes, blending family expertise with a relentless pursuit of quality.
Federico
Sales Director
Federico also belongs to the family estate’s third generation, working to ensure the continuity of the vision originally established by his grandfather. With a keen eye on the evolving challenges of the wine industry, he manages the winery's operations, business development, and commercial distribution—steering the estate towards the future while remaining deeply rooted in its heritage.
Angelo
Co-founder
Alongside Clelia, at the very heart of the vineyards, is her husband Angelo. His work among the vines embodies the deep bond with the land that has always defined the family. With unwavering dedication, Angelo works day after day to nurture a living heritage built on hard work, sacrifice, and a pure passion for the land.
Alessandro
Looking to the future
Representing the fourth generation is Alessandro, Carmela’s son. Driven since childhood by a deep and instinctive passion for the world of wine, he has embraced the estate’s journey with great determination and enthusiasm, ready to bring the family heritage to life and look to the future with renewed energy.
